An Afternoon with Tom Wyatt: Success!

Nearly 150 people had an entertaining and informative afternoon with ABC Radio's Tom Wyatt on Saturday, thanks to the Bundaberg Organic Gardeners group. The event was the group's major fundraiser for the year.

Tom's stories of using urine and soap in the garden had the crowd laughing - and furiously taking notes!

The Bundaberg Organic Gardeners group put on a fantastic afternoon tea for the guests, complete with sandwiches, lamingtons, cake, tea and coffee, much of which was donated by the event's sponsors.

At the break, several guests took the opportunity to chat with Tom and have him sign copies of his book, "All Your Gardening Questions Answered."

Members and sponsors also donated a wide variety of organic products, seeds, home made chutneys and other items for the raffles.

Tom drew several lucky door prize and raffle winners.

Group President Brad Hartwig and Vice President Donna McCullough with Tom Wyatt. A great day had by all! For those who missed out, video of "An Afternoon With Tom Wyatt" will be available on the Bundaberg Organic Gardeners website soon.

Thank you for the compliment Wendy! Members, keep an eye on the Bundaberg NewsMail and/or the Guardian in the next several days for a blurb about the event and maybe even some of these photos!

Pee in a bucket!

Well I learned a lot about urine. Is there nothing it can't do?

The afternoon was great!

The afternoon was great! Thanks for making it available to us here in Bundy, we learned heaps as well.

We missed out, unfortunately

We were waiting to see if Pete could go before we booked our tickets and, unfortunately for us, when we rang up 1 week prior to the event we discovered we were too late. After all the worry that it may not even go ahead, it sounds like it was a complete success and there could've even been a lot more tickets sold. Oh well, maybe next year :)
